We had made a list. Inside there were 15 alternative spreads to Nutella, of which we are greedy, God forbid, but without Palm oil.
We have added 15 new hazelnut spreads without the infamous tropical oil, after the twists that have inflamed the clash between critics and defenders of palm oil in recent days, namely:
(1) the publication of a dossier by Efsa (the European food safety agency) on the presence of carcinogenic and genotoxic substances in palm oil, (2) the commitment of Aidepi, the association that brings together the main companies in the sector: Ferrero, Mulino Bianco, Bauli to "make, in the shortest possible time, all the choices necessary for the maximum protection of consumer health …", even if the Italian industry does not seem oriented towards the abandonment of fat, 3) Coop's withdrawal of all branded products containing the oil in question, In addition, given that they are often local products, we have divided all 30 spreads by region of origin. For each one you will find the price indicated.
Before your comments, a clarification: this is a list not a ranking.
Certainly we will have forgotten someone, so comment without restraint, add and report. Then with a nice slice of bread, we make do.
