In recent days, having received the press kit announcing the Italian American, the first nudist restaurant in Italy, full of explicit and coarse invitations such as: "Let's go to dinner and get undressed", we didn't give it credit.

Especially for the style of communication that is very different from the refined and engaging one that garnered 40,000 bookings before the opening at The Bunyadi.

All in the first restaurant for nudists opened in London in June spoke of a return to the past, it was better when it was worse. From the name which in Hindy means "natural", to the curious setting: wooden tables, clay plates, no modern era vehicles, no telephones but not even electric lights in the room, nothing that can make you remember being in the 2.0 era.

Yes of course, the matter reeks of cunning marketing issue, in the end even The Bunyadi wants to divert us towards a simple and banal voyeurism. But at least he knows how to do it.

We did not think so for the Italian Americano, which instead duly impressed the Republic and Corriere.

We know better then this restaurant that was the first to import the fashion of eating naked in Italy.

During the week you will find hamburgers and various specialties of American cuisine on the menu, but every Friday evening - starting next, July 15 - the place in via San Clemente in Cerro Maggiore, in the Milanese area, becomes the home of naturists (but without the patronage by Anita the Italian association): soft lights and candles, you dine completely naked from 8pm onwards and afterwards you can also dance, accompanied by live music, free to show yourself.

But let's be clear, Romeo, the owner quickly communicates: "we respect the regional law that regulates the practice of nudity in Lombardy and there is absolutely nothing inconvenient or itchy".

Sure why not!

But how does this Friday evening work, which, based on how the bookings - already open on Groupon - will go, could multiply or be reduced to one per month?

These are not swinger dinners. No sex in the club. And no cell phones, as more recent bon ton trends suggest, because cameras are certainly not welcome. You arrive dressed, undress (at The Bunyadi the full nude is just one of the options) and sit down at the table. Clutches with personal effects and, for obvious hygienic reasons, towels or cloths to sit on are allowed.

In detail, the owner, who inquired about the success of The Bunyadi by reading Dissapore, specifies how he intends to keep voyeurs and onlookers away. “We will welcome a single for every five couples, they will pay 100 euros each, but 50 if they show Anita's card.

For couples, however, the cost of the evening is 50 euros each (79 euros on Groupon with two drinks included), with a ten percent discount if in possession of a naturist association card.

And as expected we are at the inevitable final question: would you dine naked at the Italo Americano?
