Birrabus: craft beer on the road in the school bus
Anonim

A former school bus from 1989, exactly as you can expect, yellow, with folding doors, what second life can it have in 2016, once it has been refurbished and pimped by the glorious Augusta Carrozzeria in Castel San Pietro Terme, near Bologna?

What questions, a food truck for craft beer. Or rather, a Birrabus, the school bus of our dreams.

Via pen and inkwell and inside 17 different spines ready to accommodate as many beers to tap. And if that's not enough, Birracamper will soon arrive: 21 pins obtained in a memorable 1988 Arco America Ducato.

The project was born from the volcanic Loris Marcheselli, inventor of Birra Di Classe: an educational and commercial network created to support Italian breweries in spreading the brewing culture in the area.

During the festivals in which he participates, Loris sets up a classroom with chairs, desks and a blackboard in front of the Birrabus.

Here students can discover new beers and learn their characteristics through the tasting cards.

The Birrabus idea was awarded at the Brussels Food Truck Festival, the main European festival dedicated to street food, where it earned the "Special Award".
