We will certainly not comment on the beaches, the seas, the wild hinterland and the Mediterranean scrub. The only thing that matters, for us never satisfied, is the food.
Also because in Sardinia, what risks breaking the idyllic relationship with the beautiful beaches, the enchanting sea and the boat trips is eat in restaurants. Or better: pay the restaurant bill.
Reason why, in this sketch for the benefit of those who pass or will pass holidays in Sardinia, we have considered more le trattorias restaurants, more serial than trendy eating.
Of course, there is no shortage of tables near the sea water, but the identikit of our eater coincides with the one who loves to see the porceddu roasting in front of his eyes, and dreams of sebadas even at night.
So here are 10 trattorias that make Sardinians proud and unrepentant vacationers like you happy.
1. Fradis Minoris
Nora Lagoon - Pula

Restaurant and fish farm happily placed between the scenery of the nearby ruins and the sea that breaks a few meters from the tables.
Beauty is wasted but it's not over yet. The chef, young but already on the right side, has made the objectives of the nearby cooperative his own: to support sustainable fishing and environmental protection.
At Fradis Minoris the catch of the day is often unforgettable, especially the carpaccio, while the smoked eel tortelli will surprise you. The wine list is measured and original.

2. Kent’Annos
Location Badde Nigolosu - Provincial road 29, km 10

The farm restaurant is located on the estate of Alessandro Dettori, a small artisan of wine with a following of passionate connoisseurs, where the homonymous winery and the organic farm are located.
Dinner surrounded by vineyards in a park with a paradisiacal view of the gulf, a must at sunset. The fixed menu includes a series of ancient Sardinian dishes such as Anglonese soup and red sheep with olives.
We suggest you combine the menu with a tasting itinerary of the Dettori wines.

3. Zenit from Minestrone
Viale Pula (Fishermen's Village) - Location Giorgino

In one of the beaches preferred by Cagliari, the gulf can be viewed from a different perspective, although the panorama is still to be framed.
The managers of Zenit have been fishermen for four generations, the grandfather, in particular, was famous for his minestrone (hence the name).
Given the summer heat, it would be better to start with the excellent tuna burrida with onions, perhaps continuing with the classic fregola alla pescatora.
Prices: 30-35 €
4. Osteria della Tonnara da Andrea
Corso Battelieri 36 - Carloforte

We are in an area of Sardinia renowned for its gastronomic vocation, with Carlofort cuisine which is probably the best expression of the island of San Pietro, The enchanting setting in which the restaurant is set, facing the sea and adjacent to an ancient salt pan, is the ideal anticipation for the menu where tuna is the protagonist.
Try it in every way, the dishes deserve anyway: from tartare to pasta to finish with a grilled: sliced and ventresca you will not forget them easily.
Prices: 30–35 €
Ispinigoli

The management of the same cooperative that takes care of "Su Marmuri", one of the most impressive caves in Europe, is managed in part by local farmers.
The pickles and the choice of cured meats are excellent, among the pasta dishes to try culurgiones all'ulassese and malloreddus, but the real star of the table is the meat on the spit: goat, beef and the legendary suckling pig.

Pani and Casu
Quartu Sant’Elena - Via Eligio Porcu 53

Although close to the sea, do not expect fish dishes: the restaurant's specialty is genuine Campidanese cuisine that recovers the most popular dishes of the local tradition.
Stand out malloreddus alla campinadese with sausage sauce and ravioli from Ogliastra, the classic fregola with pecorino sauce is exquisite.
