It's weekend again. Good news if you love to dangle for cocktail bars at the perfect cocktail recipe.

Indeed, the good news are two, there is also the World’s 50 Best, ranking that among the restaurants placed Massimo Bottura’s Osteria Francescana at number 1 in the world, but this time reserved for cocktail bars.

To express their opinion in the eighth edition of the ranking were 476 experts including bartenders, mixing experts and scholars of the subject, who confirmed London as the capital of mixed drinking, where the awards ceremony took place, precisely in the Chirst Church Spitalfields, a gigantic deconsecrated church now used for major events.

London has confirmed its status as the capital of cocktail bars as the city with the highest number of clubs on the list, while the country that has stocked up on the bars mentioned, as many as 14 out of 50, is the United States.

The United Kingdom followed, followed by China, Australia and Singapore with three bars.

The top ten sees the United States and the United Kingdom alternate with the only exception of a Greek cocktail bar: The Clumsies in Athens.

First in the standings: the very refined and, of course, New Yorker Dead Rabbit, in the heart of the financial district of the city. From the outside it may seem like a meeting place for wealthy brokers, while the inside reveals the place for what it is: a mixing paradise where some of the most popular cocktails of recent years were born such as Gangsta's Paradise - name taken from a famous motif by rapper Coolio and prepared with triple sec, dark rum and raspberry syrup - or Son of a Gun and Man on the Dancefloor.

An unsatisfactory result for Italy, where importing the culture of mixed drinking continues to be a complicated operation, with two bars in the 50s.

Jerry Thomas Project in Rome, first in the ranking of the 15 best cocktail bars in Dissapore, and Notthingam Forest in Milan.

At number 33 in the ranking, Jerry Thomas is one of the so-called speakeasy places, born during Prohibition in the United States, the period between 1919 and 1933 when it was forbidden to sell alcoholic beverages, and a separate cocktail list organizes theme nights and workshops on mixed drinking.

Notthingam Forest, a veteran of the ranking, where it has been present since 2007, offers level mixes in a venue that mixes different atmospheres, from the Caribbean to the East.
