A few weeks ago Amazon invented Dash Button, a device that can be associated with a single product in its store and equipped with a button.

By pressing the button, the order of the corresponding product is automatically sent to Amazon without the need for other confirmations via Wi-Fi connection.

Blade Runner stuff, right? The perfect gadget for the laziest of us, or for those who don't have time to go to the supermarket for trifles such as buying things used every day.

The choice of products is still limited to the most famous brands; the prices sometimes exceed the most advantageous offers of large retailers: Amazon's proverbial convenience sacrificed on the altar of convenience.

Among the products of interest to you who follow Dissapore, the offer is limited to Mulino Bianco biscuits - from 30 December - and two coffee blends: we have selected Pellini Top ready for delivery, with the current formula which provides for a payment of 5 euros for sending the device, discounted after the first purchase.

That said, the first thing to do with the small and faithful Dash Button, topped with a removable adhesive hook, is to configure it with the Amazon application by connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. A pre-war network is also fine, indeed those that are only 5Ghz are not compatible.

The specific product of the combined brand is then chosen.

The process is quick and painless, at the end the thrill of the first time is ensured by pressing the only physical button available: a flashing white light sets the virtual gears in motion to make room for the green shade if the order has been successful.

But remember that it only works if you are enrolled in the Amazon Prime program, with orders usually delivered between 24 and 48 hours, as happened in our case.

Shortly after pressing, there is also a notification on the mobile phone with the details of the order, further confirming that everything went well and with the possibility of canceling the transaction in case of unwanted pressure.

A new purchase cannot be made until the previous one has been delivered, to limit the revelers or someone else with an easy finger.

For the moment Dash Button represents an interesting style exercise that works well from a technological point of view, exploiting the strengths of the Amazon platform.

It could become useful once the offer becomes more substantial, perhaps disconnecting from the specific brand to associate the product that suits you best.

In the meantime, good coffee and a Merry Christmas to everyone.

One more thing: how many of you will remember to press the button 24/36 hours before the toilet paper runs out?
