Divine - Fratelli Carai cheeses: recall due to microbiological risk

Still a new one recall on the Salute.gov website: this time a batch of Divino - Fratelli Carai cheese. The recall notice states that the reason is a microbiological risk. On the website, the date of the recall is July 2, 2020, however on the recall notice the date reported is that of June 2, 2020.

The exact sales name of the recalled product is Divino, the product brand is Formaggi Fratelli Carai and the name or company name of the FBO in whose name the product is marketed is Azienda Agricola di Carai Giuseppe & C. s.s.a. The identification mark of the establishment / producer is CE IT 09 501, while the name of the producer is always Azienda Agricola di Carai Giuseppe & C. s.s.a. with headquarters of the plant in Podere Rimini 37, Volterra (PI), Montemiccioli locality.

The batch number of production affected by the recall is 080520 with expiration date or minimum conservation term of 26 September 2020. The unit of sale is that relating to the forms of about 1.5 kg.

The reason for the recall is the presence of E. coli STEC in 25 grams (not detected, however, serogroups 0157, 0111, 026, 0103, 0145, 0104: H4). In the warnings, consumers are asked not to eat the product in question and to return it immediately to the point of purchase.
