
The international growth of the Tonitto ice cream: the brand also lands in Belgium and Portugal thanks to the collaboration with two local giants of the GDO, respectively Ahold-Delhaize in Belgium and Prozis in Portugal.
L' Ligurian company it is certainly not new to these expansions. It had recently arrived in China, more precisely in Shanghai, inside the Pearl Tower, while it has been present for some time in the Netherlands in the Albert Hejin supermarket chain, in Latvia in the Rimi Baltic and in Ireland in the Dunnes Stores.
Through these new agreements, Tonitto 1939, owned by the Dovo family, will guarantee a Ahold-Delhaize and Prozis a supply of its products. More specifically, Tonitto 1939 will produce four types of ice cream for the Belgian giant:
- Coffee
- Pistachio
- Hazelnut
- Spanish
For Prozis, instead, given the nature of the online giant, known for its health products and intended for sportsmen, the Italian company has created specific sorbet recipes that are suitable for both those who want to have a healthy diet and for those who follow a diet vegan.
All the fruit used in Tonitto sorbets comes from selected cultivars, while milks and derivatives are not used as the creaminess is given by the slow freezing. Luca Dovo, CEO of Tonitto 1939, stated that this is a further step forward in a moment in which the market is complicated by the difficulties of movement and contact with new customers.
