But in light of the worsening of the epidemic in Italy and the ever wider restrictions that are being discussed in these hours, the mayor of Alba Carlo Bo has opted for a stop. This will therefore be the last weekend of opening to the public in the presence of the 90th edition of the International Alba White Truffle Fair.

The program - the organizers say - will still go on online, with a digital calendar of events and tastings in streaming.

“We are proud to have organized this edition of the Fair”, said the mayor of Alba, “demonstrating that the city of Alba knows how to deal with difficult moments in a serious and determined way. Thanks to the work done with the Police Headquarters and the Prefecture we have been able to pay great attention to the safety of both tourists and the people of Alba. With the same seriousness and sense of responsibility, we cannot pretend not to see the current situation globally: so the time has come to suspend the event starting next week.
